The Fireworks Game is made by Machême Games. This policy explains what the iOS app and this website do with information, in plain language.

Last updated 12 October 2026

It covers The Fireworks Game on iPhone (bundle identifier com.macheme.fireworks) and this website. If you only play on your phone and never create an account, most of this stays on the device.

Optional ads, no sale of dataRewarded ads are optional. We ask before tracking you. We do not sell personal information.

Delete it in the appOpen Friends, then Delete account. Your cloud account is removed straight away. Steps are below.

Who we are

Machême Games is the developer of The Fireworks Game. For privacy requests or gameplay help, email hello@thefireworksgame.com or call 0330 223 8282.

Information the app can process

Information you give us

  • Email address and password, if you create an email account. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are not stored in the game as readable text.
  • Display name, which other players can see on the leaderboard and friends list.
  • Friend code, and the friend connections you choose to make.
  • Whatever you write to us in a support or deletion email.

Sign in with Apple, when it is offered in a build, lets you sign in with your Apple ID. Apple may share a name and an email address, or a private relay address if you hide your email. We receive only what you and Apple provide for that sign-in.

Information created by playing

If you sync progress or submit a score, we process gameplay data such as:

  • coins and other in-game currency
  • experience, level, and unlocks
  • high score, best combo, and games played
  • perfect, good, and missed hits
  • daily reward counters
  • card collection and upgrade levels, where those are part of saved progress

A run sent to the cloud can include the score, combo, and the install identifier so the same device can be recognised.

Identifiers and purchases

  • An account user ID, created by the authentication service when you sign in.
  • A random device identifier stored in the iOS Keychain. It links this install's local progress when you sign in.
  • The advertising identifier, if you allow tracking when the app asks at launch. You can decline and keep playing, and you can change the choice later in iOS Settings, under Privacy & Security, then Tracking.
  • In-app purchases are processed by Apple's StoreKit. We do not receive your card number, billing address, or Apple ID password, and we do not upload a purchase history to our servers.

Advertising

The app includes Google Mobile Ads. It can offer an optional rewarded ad to multiply the end-of-run claim, or to continue a run. Those buttons can be switched off in a particular build. The advertising software can still collect the device, location, interaction, advertising, and diagnostic data described on this page. At launch, iOS asks whether the app may track you. If you allow it, Google can use the advertising identifier to recognise this device across apps and websites owned by other companies.

Country or region

The leaderboard can show a flag taken from your device's region setting (the iOS locale). That is a country or region code, not GPS. We do not collect precise location. Google's advertising software can estimate a coarser location from your IP address.

What we do not collect through the app

  • Precise location, contacts, photos, microphone recordings, or camera content
  • Health or fitness data
  • Browsing history on other sites
  • Payment card numbers, or a purchase history stored by us

This website

This site is a static marketing and legal site. It does not ask you to create an account and it does not use advertising or analytics cookies. The host that serves the pages may keep ordinary connection logs for security and to deliver the site. Links to the App Store are operated by Apple. Email links open your mail app and send only what you choose to write.

How we use information

  • To run the game on your device, including offline play
  • To create and protect an optional account
  • To sync progress, and to let you choose which copy to keep when the device and the cloud both have progress
  • To show leaderboards and a friends list
  • To grant virtual coins, the gold firework unlock, and to restore non-consumable purchases
  • To show and measure optional rewarded ads, and to ask permission before tracking
  • To reject or review scores that look cheated
  • To answer support, privacy, and deletion requests
  • To keep the app and this site secure, and to meet legal duties

Account, gameplay, and leaderboard information we store is used to run the game. Google uses the advertising data listed above to deliver and measure ads and for analytics. We do not sell personal information.

Legal bases if UK or EU law applies

  • Contract. To provide the account, sync, leaderboard, friends, and purchases you ask for.
  • Legitimate interests. To keep scores fair, secure the service, and prevent abuse, balanced against your rights. You can object as described below.
  • Legal obligation. Where we must keep or disclose information.
  • Consent. For tracking, which iOS asks for at launch. You can decline, or turn it off later in Settings, without losing the game.

Who we share it with

We use service providers who process information to run the game:

  • Supabase, for authentication, database storage, and the server functions that sync progress and accept scores. Supabase acts as our processor. Its infrastructure may be outside your country. Their privacy information is at supabase.com/privacy.
  • Apple, for the App Store, StoreKit purchases, and Sign in with Apple when you use it. Apple's privacy policy applies to information Apple handles as a controller: apple.com/legal/privacy.
  • Google, through Google Mobile Ads and the User Messaging Platform, for optional rewarded ads, measurement, and related diagnostics. Google's privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect players, us, or the public from harm or fraud.

Leaderboard entries (display name, score, combo, and region flag) are visible to other players. Friend connections are visible to the friends you add. Do not use a display name that reveals something private about you if you do not want other players to see it.

You can report or block another player by tapping their row on the leaderboard, or their name in your friend list or a friend request. A report stores your account, the reported account, the name shown at the time, and the reason you chose, so we can review it. A blocked player is hidden from you and cannot send you friend requests. The block list is stored on your account and is not shown to the player you blocked.

How long we keep it

  • Local progress stays on your device until you delete the app or remove that data.
  • Account and cloud progress are kept while the account is open.
  • When you delete your account in the app, the account, cloud progress, friend links, friend requests, blocked-player list, reports you made, and leaderboard identity are deleted straight away. Copies in routine backups expire within 30 days. A small record may be kept only where a legal duty, fraud prevention, or a dispute requires it.
  • Security logs, if any, are kept only as long as needed for security.
  • Purchase records held by Apple are controlled by Apple, not by us.

Deleting your account and your data

You can play without an account. Deleting the app removes local data on that device. It does not, by itself, delete a cloud account.

To delete a cloud account, in the app:

  1. Open Settings (top right of the home screen) and tap Friends. The Friends tab, then Add Friend, opens the same card.
  2. Tap Delete account at the bottom of the card.
  3. Confirm. The account and the cloud data described above are deleted straight away.

Progress saved on your phone stays, and you can keep playing without an account. If you cannot open the app, email hello@thefireworksgame.com from the email address on the account, with the subject "Delete my account" and your display name, and we will delete it within 30 days and confirm by email.

A non-consumable purchase, such as the gold firework unlock, stays with your Apple ID. Apple handles refunds at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Children

The Fireworks Game is a general-audience game. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. An account should be created only by someone who is old enough to consent where they live (13 in the United Kingdom and the United States, or older where local law requires a higher age).

If you are a parent or guardian and you believe a child has given us personal information, email hello@thefireworksgame.com. We will delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

In the United Kingdom, that authority is the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). In the European Economic Area, it is your local supervisory authority.

Email hello@thefireworksgame.com. We may need to confirm that you control the account before we act. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

If you live in California: we do not sell personal information. If you allow tracking, Google may use device identifiers to measure and deliver ads across other companies' apps and websites. You can decline that prompt. You can request access or deletion using the contact details above.

Security

Cloud traffic uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to production data is limited to operating the game. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, and we cannot promise that unauthorised access will never happen.

International transfers

If you use cloud features, your information may be processed in a country other than your own, including where Supabase hosts the project. Where UK or EU law requires a safeguard, we rely on the provider's appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.

How this maps to App Store privacy labels
